The in vivo CAR-T therapy market covers therapies that generate chimeric antigen receptor T cells inside the patient by delivering CAR-encoding genetic payloads through lipid nanoparticles, targeted lentiviral or other engineered vectors, together with the vector and nanoparticle manufacturing supporting these programs. Ex vivo autologous and allogeneic CAR-T products are excluded. As of 2026 no in vivo CAR-T product is approved; forecast revenue is modelled from expected approval timing, with the near-term value pool consisting of licensing, vector manufacturing and clinical supply.
The approach promises to remove leukapheresis, cell manufacturing and lymphodepletion from the treatment pathway, which would cut cost, shorten vein-to-vein time and open community and autoimmune settings that ex vivo products cannot serve. Early clinical data in B-cell malignancies and lupus have triggered a wave of acquisitions and licensing deals in which large pharmaceutical companies secured delivery platforms, and a growing number of first-in-human trials are underway.
