The annual production capacity of a single MOS relay production line is approximately 3 million units, with a gross profit margin of approximately 27.2%. A MOS relay, short for MOS FET relay, is a contactless relay based on metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) technology. It combines a light-emitting diode (LED) with a MOSFET chip, using optical signal transmission to achieve electrical isolation and signal control, combining the electrical isolation characteristics of mechanical relays with the advantages of semiconductor devices such as fast response and low power consumption. Its core principle is: the LED on the input side emits light in a controlled manner, the light signal is received by the photosensitive element on the output side and converted into an electrical signal, which then drives the MOSFET to conduct or cut off, thereby achieving on/off control of the load circuit. The upstream raw materials for ORC low-temperature waste heat power generation systems include silicon wafers, chemical mechanical polishing materials, doping gases, lead frames, etc. The midstream consists of MOS relay manufacturers, and the downstream mainly includes industries such as power electronics, industrial automation, and communications. The MOS relay market (typically referring to solid-state relays based on MOSFET technology) is experiencing rapid growth. MOS relays are gradually replacing traditional electromagnetic relays due to their advantages such as fast response (microseconds), noiselessness, long lifespan, and high integration. Especially in high-current scenarios (e.g., above 200A), MOS solutions have solved overcurrent and heat generation issues through technological innovation, and are widely used in low-speed four-wheeled vehicles, forklifts, electric ships, energy storage equipment, and other fields. Although the initial unit price of MOS relays is relatively high, the total cost over their lifecycle is lower. They have low power consumption (≤1W), low maintenance costs, and do not require frequent replacements, making them particularly suitable for cost-sensitive emerging markets (such as Southeast Asia and Africa). With mass production, the price of MOS relays is gradually approaching that of traditional relays, further highlighting their cost-effectiveness advantage.
